Randy, 41, is a lifelong Marinette resident and a 1985 Marinette High graduate. He first entered politics at age 19 as a write-in candidate for mayor of Marinette; attending college he earned his tuition by working in area factories. Starting at UW-Marinette, he earned his Associate Degree in 1987. After transferring to UW-Eau Claire, he earned Bachelor Degrees in math and history education. In 2007, he earned a Masters Degree in Integrating Technology in Education. He has taught social studies and math in Northeast Wisconsin for the past 15 years as well as coaching volleyball in both the Bay and M&O athletic conferences.
Randy is also an active volunteer in many community projects. For the past 19 years, he has played trombone for the Community Jazz Band and is also a past member of the NEW Concert Band. Working to improve his school, he has been a member of Marinette’s Data Retreat Team, Committee for School Improvement, and Leadership Team.
His wife of eight years, Kris, is a disabled United States Air Force veteran. They have two young children living at home.
