Healthcare
Our country is in the midst of a healthcare crisis. With 47 million people uninsured or underinsured, our families are feeling the pinch at the pharmacy counters and doctor’s offices–healthcare costs are rising out of reach. We need to work both at the state and federal level to ensure coverage for all citizens. SeniorCare and BadgerCare are two great examples of successful state healthcare programs. Their precedents can be used to create innovative solutions in order to cover every citizen of Wisconsin. When elected, I will fight for affordable and quality coverage for you and your family.
Jobs
When elected, I will work to keep jobs in our district and bring in new business. We must make sure that Wisconsin’s economy stays strong and that we keep blue-collar jobs in the district. I will work with local and federal government to make sure our jobs are secure.
Environment
Wisconsin is a beautiful state and we must protect and promote our environment. We have access to Lake Michigan, an incredible natural resource, and we must guarantee its and other resources’ protection. I will support and continue the newly signed Great Lakes Compact and also create other environmental protections, while simultaneously promoting tourism and our economy.
Education
As a teacher in our community, I understand the value of a good education. Without quality public education, nothing else works. Education will be a top priority for me when elected–we need to maintain high standards for teachers and students, fully fund our schools, and support our communities.
